Lustrerie Goosse - A legacy of excellence
since 1950

Artisanal craftsmanship & a passion for light

Since 1950, Lustrerie Goosse has preserved the art of lighting through the meticulous restoration of antique chandeliers, the creation of bespoke lighting fixtures, and the reproduction of historical pieces. First based in Brussels and now established in the Liège region, our Belgian artisanal house blends traditional craftsmanship, aesthetic precision, and modern technology to serve both heritage and contemporary design.

A career change driven by passion

In 2012, Laurent Brogneaux, then a banker, discovered the craft of chandelier-making by chance. Captivated by the artistry, he left the world of finance to dedicate himself to working with crystal, bronze, and brass. He trained for three years before taking over Lustrerie Goosse in 2015, a workshop originally founded in Brussels in 1950.

Over the years, he built a passionate and versatile team, made up predominantly of women, all experts in art restoration, metalwork, welding, and upholstery. Together, they embody the richness and diversity of traditional craftsmanship.

A belgian atelier with international reach

The story of Lustrerie Goosse is one of steady growth. The opening of a second workshop in Sprimont, in the province of Liège, has further strengthened our local presence. But our Belgian craftsmanship also shines far beyond our borders – from France, Germany, and Switzerland to the United States, our creations and restorations travel the world.

Our core craft: light, materials, and precision

Restoration, creation, and reproduction

Our expertise is built on four pillars:

• The restoration of antique lighting

• The reproduction of historical designs

• Upgrading to modern safety standards

• The creation of bespoke chandeliers

At the crossroads of design, craftsmanship, and engineering, we strive for the perfect balance between heritage, aesthetics, and technical excellence.

Noble materials to enhance your space

We carefully select the finest materials – crystal, bronze, brass, and blown glass – to elevate the light and give each space a unique character.

Exceptional collaborations

Each project brings together a range of expertise – heritage architects, glassmakers, metalworkers, art historians…

Among our most prestigious achievements: the Royal Palace of Brussels, the Astoria Hotel, the Namur Theatre, the Troyes Stained Glass Museum, Tournay-Solvay Castle, Mons City Hall, and the Horta Museum.

Since 2021, we are proud to be an official supplier to the Belgian Royal Court – a mark of recognition for our unwavering commitment to excellence.

To restore is to preserve and pass on

Each restored chandelier is treated as a piece of heritage – a valuable archive. Our certified artisans faithfully reproduce traditional techniques with the utmost care, while thoughtfully integrating modern technologies when needed. Honesty, precision, and deep respect for the original pieces guide our work every day.

A craft in service of memory

In contrast to the fleeting and disposable, our approach embraces durability. We work with light to breathe new life into historic pieces — telling stories suspended in time. This is our mission.
